It takes two to make a baby, and sperm health is just as important as egg health, affecting not just conception but reducing miscarriage risk and the health of your baby both in childhood and adulthood too. Working with you both gives us the best possible chance of success. Why 3 months? It takes 3 months for eggs to mature and sperm to regenerate and mature. We use this vital time to improve the quality of both to maximise your chances of conception, whether you are trying to conceive naturally or through fertility treatment. During our time together, I put on my detective hat and thoroughly analyse what may be impacting your fertility. For example, are your hormones balanced and working as they should? Are there any nutrient deficiencies working against you? We ensure your gut health is optimal. Are there any toxins from your day-to-day that we can reduce or eliminate? We also work to improve sleep, manage stress, and so much more. I may suggest functional testing, which isn’t available through your GP and often not through fertility clinics either. Tests we may consider range from microbiome testing (including gut, vaginal and seminal), sperm DNA fragmentation, in-depth hormone testing, nutrient deficiencies, mineral analysis and more. However, recommendations are tailored specifically to you and your needs, I never adopt a blanket approach and test factors that are unnecessary. It’s a full and complete pre-conception care programme to enhance your fertility. Includes: 1 x 2 hour initial consultation with you both. 6 x 45 minute follow-up consultations every 2 weeks.
