Fertility Nutrition Programme

When you're trying to conceive, it's only natural to want to “do everything right.” And for many, that includes sticking to a consistent workout routine. But here's the twist — when it comes to fertility, more movement isn't always better. In fact, sometimes, doing less (or at least, doing it more gently) can support your body in more powerful ways.

The Stress-Fertility Connection

Exercise is a form of stress. While moderate, mindful movement can lower anxiety and balance hormones, excessive or intense workouts can actually have the opposite effect. High-intensity training raises cortisol — the body’s primary stress hormone — which in turn can disrupt ovulation, throw off your menstrual cycle, and make it harder for your body to prioritize reproduction.

For women, especially those with leaner body types or low body fat, intense training can even lead to hypothalamic amenorrhea — when the menstrual cycle stops altogether.
