When did we start doubting our bodies' ability to create and nurture life?
It’s a question that stays with me—especially as more women are being encouraged to turn to IVF earlier and earlier. Don’t get me wrong: I’m deeply grateful for medical advances like IVF. It’s brought hope and joy to so many families. But I’m also noticing something that concerns me: younger and younger women are being steered toward IVF without first exploring natural, non-invasive options.
This isn’t about choosing one approach over another. It’s about slowing down, reconnecting with our bodies and making space for possibility. Because your fertility isn’t broken—it’s often just not being fully supported or understood. So let’s take a moment together to pause, reflect and remember the wisdom our bodies still hold.
1. Fertility and Age – A Historical Perspective
a. Our Ancestors Trusted Their Bodies
For generations, women gave birth well into their 40s. They didn’t see age as an enemy—because community, connection and trust in the body were part of everyday life. Today, we’ve replaced that with medical terms like “geriatric pregnancy”—language that makes us feel weak and old before we even begin.
But here’s the truth: our bodies were made to create life. While fertility does decline with age, it’s not an overnight cliff. Many women still conceive naturally in their 40s. The problem isn’t age—it’s the pressure, the fear and the lack of time and support to explore natural paths first.
**b. Modern Life, New Timing More and more women are choosing to have children later in life—after building careers, growing into themselves or healing from past trauma. That timing can bring challenges, yes. But it can also bring clarity, confidence and the ability to question the rush society tries to put us in.
Motherhood can be a big part of our lives, something we want to pour our hearts into—but it’s still just one part of who we are. We’re so much more than that. And motherhood on our terms is something worth celebrating, at any age.

2. IVF—A Beautiful Option, But Not Always the Only One
a. Rushing Into Treatment There’s a growing trend of women in their early 30s—or younger—being encouraged to begin IVF right away. Often, this happens after a few months of trying or based on fear-based narratives around age. But the truth is: IVF isn’t always the first or only answer.
We’ve been taught to hand over our power to doctors and protocols. But no one lives in your body like you do. You know when something feels right—and when it doesn’t. The real question is: are you being given the space to explore what’s truly available to you?
b. The Women Who Come to Me Many of the women I work with are feeling defeated, exhausted and disconnected from their bodies. Some have tried everything—from tracking cycles to multiple rounds of IVF—yet still feel like something’s missing. Others come because they want to understand their bodies better before considering treatment. And some simply want to feel like themselves again after years of heartbreak.
Every woman’s story is different. But the common thread? They want to feel empowered—not pushed. And they want to reconnect with the deep knowing that their body still holds possibility. And to return to a life that feels simpler, softer and more their own.
c. IVF with Empowerment and Support When IVF is truly needed, it can be a miracle. And with the right emotional and energetic support, the process doesn’t have to feel like a battle. It doesn’t have to be defined by anxiety, pressure or dread. IVF can be part of a holistic journey—a step taken with intention, not fear.
With the right mindset, tools and care, IVF can feel like a supported choice, not a last resort. But it should be one option among many—not the only one placed on the table.
3. Reconnecting With Your Body
a. Supporting Fertility Naturally
Fertility isn’t just physical—it’s emotional, energetic and deeply connected to how we live. Small, intentional changes in diet, stress levels, movement and environment can have a big impact. From reducing inflammation to balancing hormones, your lifestyle plays a powerful role in your fertility. And it’s not just about food and movement. Releasing what’s weighing you down—emotionally and energetically—can be just as important. Many women see positive shifts in their cycles and energy simply by reconnecting with themselves and creating space for their bodies to be heard.
b. Taking Back the Lead Doctors and clinics can offer insight—but only you can truly feel what’s right for your body. Your fertility journey should reflect your values, your timing and what genuinely makes sense for you. You are not a statistic. You don’t have to race the clock. And you certainly don’t need to follow anyone else’s timeline—especially if it doesn’t feel right to you. You have every right to believe in your body, even if others can’t see it yet. Miracles happen every day—and many start with a woman simply saying: “I choose to trust myself”.
c. Fertility as a Deeper Journey Fertility is more than conception. It’s about personal growth, healing and rediscovering what matters most to you. Fertility is more than a result—it’s a journey of connection, trust, and transformation. Even through struggle, many women discover strength, clarity and a renewed sense of purpose.
You are not just moving toward motherhood. You are reconnecting with yourself—your truth, your wisdom and your joy.
Reclaim Your Fertility Journey Reclaiming your fertility isn’t just about increasing your chances of pregnancy. It’s about coming home to yourself—releasing fear, rebuilding trust and making choices from a place of clarity, not pressure.
There is no one right path. But there is your path. And you deserve support that honours your body, your story and your vision of motherhood.
Whether you’re exploring natural options, considering IVF or just trying to feel more like you again—I invite you to take the next step.
